Horses of Andalusia, Spain

Hacienda Buena Suerte

Andalusia is “horse country” in Spain, but it’s not just PRE horses. At Haciendo Buena Suerte we photographed PRE, Lusitano (a close first cousin of the PRE), and even a couple of American Quarter Horses. The first set of images below is of Elegante, a PRE stallion.

Elegante

Agillio

Agillio is a Lusitano, the breed is closely related to the PRE, but originating in Portugal.

Chief

Chief is an American Quarter Horse stallion. A very appropriate name, I think. Of course, every horse who has been cleaned and groomed wants to roll in the dirt as soon as he’s let loose in the ring. Chief got his roll in very quickly before anyone realized what he was up to.

Twist and Flash

For a change of pace, two by two…

Tschula & Gloria
